The Drive & Control Company, Bosch Rexroth, is strapping on its shin pads and testing its top cricket sledges in preparation for a charity challenge on 14th August 2011.

The Rexroth team will be taking on the mighty Earl Shilton Cricket Club with the match winners going on to face the famous Lashings XI Cricket Club, which was once home to Sir Vivien Richards and Courtney Walsh. The whole event is in aid of Children in Need with funds due to be raised through a charity auction and a number of food and drink stalls which the public can enjoy whilst watching the match.

Roger Benton, Marketing Manager for Bosch Rexroth, said: “Earl Shilton is a top team and Lashings has built a reputation for being home to some true cricketing legends, so this is no mean feat for the Rexroth team. The whole match is open to the public, who will even have the chance to meet the Lashings players. The day is about having some fun and more importantly, raising money for a worthy cause.”

The event is taking place on Sunday 14th August at the Earl Shilton Cricket Club in Leicestershire from 12 noon. |
